After you're done pumping your gas, make sure the gas cap is on securely. Many of today's cars with computerized exhaust systems are sensitive enough to sense a lose gas cap and will give trip the "Check System" light on your dashboard. If you do see this gauge lit, first thing I would check is your gas cap. If the gas cap is lose it will take about 3-4 times start/stop your engine before the light turns off

1. Mine, along the same vein.

Static electricity can build up on you when you are getting in/out of your car. To discharge the static electricity, touch the roof of your car before you approach the gas pump to put the nozzle in or out of your car.

2. Salt takes up red wine stains on carpet.

3. How to remove candle wax from carpet:

scrape away as much as possible with a blunt object (so as not to damage the fibers). Vacuum up the residue. Lay 3 or 4 folded paper towels over the wax. Place your iron (on a low setting) atop the paper towels. The towels will absorb the wax like magic.

6. Same way...couldn't be easier!

(I don't even want to KNOW how you got candle wax on your towels...just thank heaven it wasn't your SHEETS! Not that I'd know anything about that, not me, no sir-nohow.... ;-) )

you'll need to put the paper towels UNDER the towel, also.

8. You can also use a brown paper bag to remove wax

from carpets, upholestery, clothing.

5. To remove chewing gum

from your kids hair just add peanut butter and let set then comb it right out.
