i Love dick swett
he was running for some office (i think the house) in NH back in the mid-90s, and i met him at some to-do in (concord?).

he was a nice guy, and he tried to give me a button, shirt and bumper sticker with his name on it. i poLiteLy (actuaLLy, i may have mocked him) decLined his offer since at the time i was fairLy a-poLiticaL, and i was not a NH state resident.

about an hour Later i reaLized the goLd mine i had just passed up in having a shirt that said:

DICK SWETT

it stiLL haunts me to this day.

4. With a name like Swett, you'd think he'd go with Richard
 His campaign advisor Randy Bawlz, the man behind Dick Swett was largely responsible for his defeat.

9. She carried the prostitute vote
She had a really infectious charm didnt she? Some called her campaign rash, but she was able to pull it out in the end.

8. Dick Swett in '08

He should totally run for president. If he were to refer to himself in the third person like Bob Dole did, he would be impossible to beat in a debate. "Nobody is more committed to keeping America safe and prosperous than Dick Swett." His opponent would be focusing too hard on trying not to laugh, and hence couldn't think straight.

He seems like a good guy too:

named Dick Head, and I am not kidding. But Dick Swett has greater subtlety, I gotta admit.

30. So does Dan Rather
This race between Dick Swett and Bob Smith is hot and tight as a too-small bathing suit on a too-long car ride back from the beach.
- Dan Rather

That's an actual quote :scared:
