The presbyterian church reference actually makes sense. jedi council is probably translated into chinese as "council (or path) of the elders." the chinese people probably don't confuse that with the name of the presbyterian church which they probably call the "church (or path in eastern terms) of the presbytery." and since we don't use the term presbytery except when refering to the church, most of us don't realize that another word for the presbytery is "the elders." thus, the jedi (elders) council (path) becomes the presbyterian (elders') church (path). maybe.
