1) Not all women are solely attracted to one gender. A few in fact may have no sex drive at all (same is true for men).

3) That's a big question but it could be that you're either not trying or there could be something going on with your body language that is too defensive (and therefore putting out the signal that you're "unavailable"). That's what is mean when you hear the phrase "How he carries himself."
