4. Why are you looking for a job that far away? |
|
Seems like an awful lot of hassle to go through to get a job. Things must really be tough in your area.

5. well...I'm looking for work as a journalist |
|
And I've been freelancing, but I still only finished j-school 6 months ago. So you gotta start at the bottom, which means a small town. It's a good job though.

7. As long as it's not seven hours WEST of your current position. |
|
Because that would be stupid.

Seven hours is not the other side of the world, and if the position is something that you will enjoy, then it is worth the trip. :hi:

Silly me, doesn't want to drive two hours for a job interview. It sounds like you are more motivated than I am. Go for it!

If you finish j school 6 months ago you're presumably more qualified than the monkeys we call journalists!
Put it this way Rupert Murdoch is our # 1 export!

19. It seemed surprisingly lively to me |
|
Passed through Quesnel on my way to Inuvik last summer. It was personable enough that I stopped long enough for lunch and a quick walk around the city. Lots of activity -- and, if vice is your thing, a handy-dandy casino right in the middle of it all.
But I seem to recall that "Rough Guide to Canada" had some really nasty things to say about Quesnel from an environmentalist's point of view. Don't have it in front of me, though.
Location? I guess Prince George isn't all that far away when you need some city life.
