C.S. Lewis...tool of the debul..
ROFLMAO

Clive Staples Lewis has been perhaps the single most useful tool of Satan since his appearance in the Christian community sometime around World War II. With his strong belief in non-denominational Christianity, which he termed "mere Christianity", and his apparent orthodoxy in doctrine, the influence of his pen has reached across many years. When the light of God's Holy Bible is focused upon his writings, however, his heresy and outright love of Satan comes into bold focus....

2. I know...
Check this out...from the "What we Believe" Page:

I believe that a woman who goes out "looking good" for any man other than her own husband is worse than a whore. At least whores have enough self-respect to ask to be paid to undress. Church house hustling mammas just give it away free, and their wimpy husbands think it is cute. A godly local church pastor will tell these wimpy husbands to take their slut and move on. I did this once, and the woman was so troubled that she repented and later thanked me for it.

What do you want to bet the Van Natta girls will be seeking therapy?

15. Actually, we home-schooled two of our kids.
Though we don't live in the US and our reasons were probably different -one of the kids has Asperger's Syndrome and couldn't cope with school at that stage of his development, and the other boy was so messed up by living with his bi-polar mother that he was an emotional wreck until I could legally get him away from her. It's a perfectly acceptable thing to do here in England and nobody necessarily thinks you're a loony. In fact, it tends to be left-leaning folks who take it on. And we got a lot of help from the education department re. courses exams, etc. I get the feeling that in the US it seems to be done by extremists who don't trust the government, but that's just from the reactions I see on DU to home-schooling.

16. yeah that's pretty much it in the U.S.
It's mainly done by religious zealots here. That's great that your government helps you with your educating. Private education isn't really encouraged by ours.

5. Speaking of C.S. Lewis, I saw a trailer for The Lion, The Witch and The
Wardrobe the other day. It didn't look too bad, considering that Disney produced it.

6. There was a cartoon version of it years ago...
but it really sucked. I'd be interested to see Disney's adaptation.

8. That's as silly as a bit of right-wing blather I saw during the
Reagan administration in which Jeane Kirkpatrick was on a list of people said to be "soft on Communism."

I guess if you weren't riding a nuke down through the Russian skies like Slim Pickens in Dr. Strangelove, you were soft on Communism.
