How do you lose a half gallon of milk? |
|
I remember going to the grocery store and finding it and paying for it. I remember picking up the bag. That's all I remember. I've emptied the car and its not there (checked the trunk too), its not in the refrigerator, and its not anywhere.
I'm too young to have alzheimers, I think.

it likes to hide in the nooks and crannies of the trunk...I left a half gallon in there once....good news though..the smell led me right to it three days later...

But it *was* in my trunk--found it a while later. Yuuuccck.
Did you leave it near your keys? (Putting everything down when you walk in the door?)

|
And I was going nuts trying to find it -- it was the large container that is the same size/shape as a Ben & Jerry's ice cream... yeah, you know where this is going... found it 3 days later in the freezer!
Did you check the freezer?

The people from the store are supposed to run after you if you leave without it, right? It was the only thing I bought.
Its not that I want to drink any, I just have no idea what happened to it.

but this was the only thing I bought last night. Usually when I get in the house the first thing I do is put the cold or frozen stuff away... obviously I didn't last night!

I bring all the dogs into the kitchen and interrogate them. They all have the same innocent demeanor - tongue lolling out the side of the mouth, tail wagging... No one ever confesses, BUT when I move the couch, I generally find the container of whatever was missing. I don't mind telling you, of all the things to lose in this manner, a half gallon of milk wouldn't be the worst thing to lose - at least, I'd get the floor cleaned in the rush to consume the milk.

You got in. Eager to turn on air.
Forgotten milk still over your head.
