and the thermometer has lost five degrees in the last ten minutes.
The wind blows from the northwest, strong enough to raise sand-devils so high that I can see them a hundred yards down the road, mimicing sheets of rain lashing across the intersection, but dry -- though not for long; the real thing is on the way, and not far away at that.
I see flashes in the sky, looking like the reflection of an Arc Light strike in the next valley over, with dull booms to follow, taking their time to rumble over to where I stand.
I don't need any TV station Doppler to confirm what I feel; Big Weather, and soon to come.
I'm going out to the screen porch to watch the show.

Beautifully written, IMHO...But since you're watching the show, you're most likely not online at the moment. Besides, lightening isn't good for computers, or so I'm told...Anyhow, it's good to see you posting!
