I found a body In a canal today |
|
News VideoWhile out on my daily bicycle ride today, I stopped by my dentist office to make an appointment. The dentist office was closed, so I call the office on my cell and left a message, I then start riding back home. About a block away from the dentist office I see something In the canal ... what the f*#k.
Oh no, please let that be a mannequin ... It's not.
I call 911 on my cell, but I had a very difficult time trying to keep a visual on the body, the water was running fast, and I was unable to follow on the canal bank. Thankfully a police substation Is nearby, and several police cars were In the area within a couple of minutes. About three blocks away, we spot the body again, a fire truck was able to get to the next block In time to retrieve the body.
The Fresno Police officers and Firefighters did a GREAT job retrieving the mans body.
My condolences to his family.

5. Dead bodies don't really bother me |
|
The thing that creeps me out a little, Is that I sometimes go swimming In that canal. ( About two miles downstream though)

And sad for the family of the deceased.
At least you saw the body and the family doesn't have to worry about a missing person. You should take some comfort that you may have given the family some relief.

I am thankful that I did see his body, If he had gone another 1/2 mile without being seen, It probably would have been days or weeks before someone found him.
