3. Distract yourself for four minutes, and the urge will fade
Best to distract yourself with a brisk walk or some other exercise. Don't give in to the monkey, man. Be strong.

4. Don't blow 81 days!
You can do it. Deep cleansing breath and drink some water. Think of big corporate jerks laughing all the way to the bank with your money and you coughing up a lung. You can do it! Hang on for a little while longer it will pass.

6. Those random urges will hit from time to time. They don't last long.
Don't let the insidious, evil Tobacco industry make you a slave again.

Courage friend.

8. Ok, the urge has passed, but d*mn it. I'd like to do what I used to
do with a pack of smokes. You know, tap it on the palm of the hand. Rip open the cellophane tab to open the pack. Rip off the aluminum top that opens to a glimpse of the little solders. Tap the package to expose 3-4 smokes to the air where they'll be easy to pick out. Hold the beautiful cotton end to your lips. Strike the end of the red and white tip of the shrunken oak tree with 400 chemicals and other carcinogens to get you hooked. Touch the end of the flame to the perfect cylinder end of the cigarette and volia.......fire, smoke, emphysema, or cancer, and death. Oh yeah, I'm going to smoke again. NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, and N.O.P.E. Not Another Puff Ever!!!

10. I quit 4 years ago because of a heart attack.
I was 53 at the time and had been smoking for 38 years. I loved every cigarette I ever smoked, but I really enjoy being a non-smoker. I don't get antsy 10 minutes before a movie is over, I don't have to worry about whether smoking is allowed in a restaurant, and I never have to rush to the convenience store late at night to make sure I have enough cigs to get me thru until morning. Try taking a deep breath thru your mouth, hold it for several seconds, then exhale thru your mouth. This will give you a bit of the oxygen-deprivation rush you used to get from that first drag of a cigarette. Hang in there!
