For what it's worth: I hold don't hold grudges against people. |
|
I have found that being angry and hateful only hurts the person who is angry and hateful. The other party is probably going about their business with no clue about how I feel about them. So, it's best to just let that kind of stuff go.
I don't mean to sound preachy, but I'm speaking from the heart. When you forgive someone, it benefits you just as much, if not more than the person you are forgiving. And that's true even moreso if they didn't ask to be forgiven.
End of speech Go in Peace. :D

3. I am unable to hold grudges |
|
sometimes I have tried by making a "shit-list" but while I am quick to anger, I'm simply incapable of staying angry unless it is something very, very egregious. For example, I am still angry about the theft of democracy in 2000.

and they require way too much energy to sustain.
So, I'm with you.
As an aside: Did you survive Philadelphia? It was hot and humid, wasn't it?

I forgave something a few years ago I really could have justifiably beat the everlivin' shit out of someone for; and it definately benifeted me. Strangely, I never even wanted revenge; It was so sad that person had to stoop to that level that I couldm't do anything but feel sorry for them.

makes all the differance...and besides, it is some sort of rule that you have to marry your opposite..mr b is a night person(usually), I'm a morning person. He likes the house cool, I'm always under five blankets etc, etc.
I'm going to go floss and go to bed now...have a good night!

19. Well said. It takes a lot of energy to stay angry with someone |
|
Holding a grudge is just a supreme waste of time and energy. I'd agree it hurts the person with the grudge much more than the target of the anger.

You get an award for NOT posting a "Nice women love nice men who eat pork on Sundays in their bathrobes!" thread, or whatever the latest trend is.
