I have to give Joaquin Phoenix credit, he does all the singing himself and sounds exactly like Johnny Cash. http://movies.yahoo.com/feature/walkthelineqt1.html

Goddess, I hope I'm not forced into watching this on the big screen with 5.whatever-it-is-this-week surround sound and sitting through subsequent showings until they kick my happy ass out of the cineplex and then driving home the long way just so I can listen to "Unchained" cranked up to the threshold of earbleed on the car stereo or anything!

This reminded me of the move in the seventies "I Walke the Line" starring Gregory Peck and Tuesday Weld in which Johnny Cash did most of the soundtrack. The movie really gave a feel of rural Tennessee at the time, and the soundtrack by Cash fit like a glove for the setting and mood. http://www.stevenmenke.com/CD%20&%20Records/columbia%20Years%204.htm#Movie%20SoundTrack%20I%20Walk%20The%20Line
