New to dvd players- do I have a bad disc-"no disc error" |
|
Ok, I am new to dvd players. I rented two dvd's yesterday and one works fine. One of the dvd's went in and displayed "no disc". I can't get it to play. I tried two other dvd's I have around here and they both work. I assume the disc I rented is bad, am I correct?

2. First check the surface of the disque |
|
Some folk hire DVD's when they eat fried chicken so they'll have something to wipe their hands on. I've found lots of greasy smudges and fingerprints on them. Luckily, never on foreign and indy films, which tells you about the folk who trash rental DVD's.
It's also possible that the disque is a dud. If you computer is able to play DVD's, plug it in for a second opinioin.
