I am such a WUSS!!!
I had to walk out before the end of Million Dollar Baby. I just liked those people too much to see the train wreck that was coming. My SO is watching the end right now. I told her I couldn't stay to see it. I was ready to bawl like a baby just thinking about it. I HATE IT when movies make me cry. Too many real things more deserving of the tears.

5. Just saying
that it was sweet that you can appreciate it that well/that it affected you that much. Alot of ppl are cold to things; you know/ Says alot for your emotional maturity.
Sorry; not trying to be too deep...

8. Thanks. It's nice to see my sensitivity is not totally burned out
I can be pretty callous at times. Speaking of which, it's time to go rob Snoop Dogg's crib on GTA: San Andreas. Maybe pick up a geekmonster while I'm at it.

It's not quite as bad if you don't see it happening.

7. I've never been afraid to cry - don't cry enough, in fact.
But I resent being manipulated by cheap shit, no matter how well done.

10. That's _exactly_ how I felt after reading
"The Bridges of Madison County." I loathe books and films that seem to be studies in emotional manipulation than storytelling.

He must be drawn to tearjerkers. Isn't that based on two books by Evan S. Connell? I think there's a Mr. Bridge book and a Mrs. Bridge Book. His Son of the Morning Star is a classic history of Custer's Last Stand, a must-read for history buffs.

13. Nah, it's a novel by Robert James Waller.
A 171-page cliche. :puke:

Here's the Publisher's Weekly review.

From Publishers Weekly
Quietly powerful and thoroughly credible, Waller's first novel (he previously wrote two books of essays) describes the profound love between a photographer and an Iowa farmer's wife who, together for only four days, never lose their feelings for each other. In August 1965, 52-year-old divorce Robert Kincaid packs his pickup truck and travels to Iowa's Madison County, the location of seven covered bridges he is to photograph for National Geographic . There, he asks directions of Francesca Johnson, alone at home while her husband and two children visit the Illinois State Fair. Initially, neither Robert nor Francesca expects their random encounter to lead to seduction, yet their mutual desire is undeniable. Waller tells their story as though it were nonfiction, claiming to have heard about Francesca from her children after her death, read her journals, seen Robert's relics of those four days and interviewed a jazz musician who knew the photographer. Scenes between the lovers are movingly evoked and moments with Francesca, who celebrates her birthday 22 years later by reflecting on her brief time with Robert, are particularly poignant. An erotic, bittersweet tale of lingering memories and forsaken possibilities. Photos of covered bridges serve as illustrations. 35,000 first printing.

16. Yeah, alone it sounds like crap . . .
but "disguised" as quiche, with onion, ham/bacon, Swiss cheese, cream, herbs and a butter pastry crust, ya might not notice that it's egg substitute. ;)

20. my little brother said it made him howl
And, he's an MMA fighter. I was teasing him about being able to get in a ring and fight it out with people but being such a big wuss that he cried during a movie.

Keep in mind, I was on the phone and about 2000 miles away from him too. :)

It was a tear jerker though. I had a speck of dust in my eye. Honest.
