I fell off a chair at work yesterday, tearing my meniscus. Ask me anything

I will welcome any free advise on orthoscopic surgery and estimated time of recovery and the inconveniences I have to look forward to.

BTW, it's the left knee and I drive with a clutch and live on the second floor. Could this get any more convoluted.

2. Not yet. I fell off the chair less than 24 hours ago. Not doubt:

workers comp. Injured while following boss' instructions (not to stand on the chair, but to move files and no other way to "safely" do same - file cabinets tend to topple if weight not in the back).

How the hell does one fall off a chair? Were you drunk?

4. I've had four knee surgeries, the net result being I

have no medial meniscus in either knee. I drive a 5 speed and had no problems getting around. After each surgery I was running again within six weeks and walking the day after. It's not too bad. The surgery relieves the pain.
