I just saw something completely stupid
I have just returned from my daily cycle ride and while I was out I passed parked car with the following message written on its rear window:

"Don't blame me I voted for Bush"

On the side window was written:

"Go blame Canada"

The only thing I can think of is:

:wtf: :wtf: :wtf:

9. It has been rather hot here lately and I was out cycling
so if every ounce of water in my body wasn't sweating out of me, I would have made like the dog in the photo on your post all over that SUV.

11. Stupidity is quite common here and would be my first guess...
However, there are pockets of sanity in this weird state. But, heck, it is my home and I try to fight against it from inside the 'belly of the beast' as a public school teacher. Believe it or not, I do make some headway but not as much as I would like.

8. "Nuke Iraq"
I saw a dust covered, trashy looking pick up with that spray painted on it last Thanksgiving.

And, I thought we were there to bring freedom. :sarcasm:

13. I wonder if the owner of that truck
is aware that there are many Americans in Iraq and would be nuked as well?

I thought we were there to get rid of the WMDs... no, wait. That lie has been exposed, so the goalpost has been changed. American-styled freedom, yes that's it, that's the answer to all the world's problems. :sarcasm:

As Steppenwolf once sang: "Now we are fighting a war over there so everyone can be like us...."

OMG, am I showing my age here?

14. hey I love Steppenwolf and I'm
only 30. I don't feel a day over 65 either. :)

I get the feeling the owner of the truck isn't aware of much.

17. I'm in my mid-40s
and I still don't feel all that old unless I start thinking about it; mostly I make sarcastic remarks about aging (LOL!). I'm just glad that I still have most of my hair and it is not turning gray. Working with teenagers reminds me more about my age than anything else. It really sinks in when I realize that I have lived three of their lifetimes (on average).

BTW, while out cycling yesterday I tried to find that obnoxious SUV with that crap written on it, but it was gone (I was going to leave a huge loogie on the rear window). But hey, I am at the beach and the tourists come and go. In a few minutes I'm on my way back home; three hours through the low country of SC on two-lane blacktops. I go back to work next Monday and the students return on the following Friday so I have to start getting ready.

Talk to you again soon.

15. Umm....
We don't know how to mind our own business
Cause the whole world has to be just like us
Now we are fighting a war where
No matter who wins, you know we can't pay the cost

Cause there's a monster on the loose
It's got our heads into a noose
And it just sits there watchin'

'Monster', A great anti-war song from Steppenwolf live (first record I ever bought).

20. I agree
We have our fair share of nit-wits (possibly even more) in our state. However we do have pockets of sanity.
