So I guess I shouldn't flip people off while driving?
Ok, being a Masshole through and through, I have a habit of flipping people off while driving my automobile, most often when they almost kill me or something.

So yesterday, I was driving home, and I stopped at a red light, about to go right. It's a weird intersection, so I waited a little longer than normal before I went right on red. This fucktard in an Expedition pulls up behind me, and begins to lay on the horn. Awoken from my reverie, I began my turn, flipping him off not once but twice, for emphasis :P

He proceeded to chase me all over town, to the head of my street, screaming and honking all the way. I had my cellphone in hand in case he went totally nuts, but I couldn't help but laugh. I mean, if he was in such a hurry to begin with, why chase me around town? I made sure to take the longest route possible too, fucker.

Ok, so I guess I'll stop doing that for a while. ;)

But, I did give him the pinkie salute when he went around me at the end :D

20. I was on a long stretch of highway that went through an area I didn't know
not a good place to be pulling off onto a side road and looking for a police station, really.

10. Yep... me too... and that was when I was 17...
some maniac in Texas chased me 20 miles on the highway, then through side streets in town until I was lucky enough duck into a driveway that hid me well enough for him to speed by and me to go the other direction.

I haven't stopped entirely, but you definitely have to consider the consequences of pissing off a psycho.

11. No, don't do that again.
You never know what nut job is going to go burserk over something like that. I never just take off when the light turns green. I've seen too many cars and several semi trucks run red lights. If someone honks at me, I just think to myself: "hey buddy, I might have just saved your life!".

my motto now is unless you are willing and able to do to someone else what they might do to you, better to avoid precipitating/being involved in road rage at all costs.

14. No.
Right after I first got my license at 18 my friend flipped this nut off and he proceeded to terrorize us for miles; race in front of us and stop to cause me to almost plow into him.

And he had his wife and little (unsecured) baby in the Mercedes with him.

Not worth your life. I told my friend that she would never ride with me again if she did that.

18. For reasons too complicated to go into
if there was a cop station, I had no idea where. And we were on this weird causeway road that went in one direction on one side, and the other on the other. Only houses around us to turn off onto, and they all either dead-ended or had privacy gates. This was on the way to Miami Beach.

21. I was a teenage who just got my license
I am surprised I was able to drive after that for a while. The person I was really pissed at was the friend; why did I have to suffer because of what she did?

Still, it's not worth your life.

On another occasion, I had this nut (I was in my late 20s at this point) stop and run over and yell and curse at me because I did a rolling stop late at night and turn right-I was totally in the wrong- and did not see him and was coming back from visiting my dying mother in the hospital. My mind was probably not on driving as much as it should have been.

This time, I said to him calmly that he really needed psychological help if he was that enraged over a minor driving incident. He shut up and walked away. He lived in my complex I found out later and always slinked by when I saw him after that.

Guess I embarressed the asshole?

23. Sounds like...good!
My friend was at a McDonald's the other night, and the guy in front of her got so impatient and pissed off that he slammed it into reverse and totally creamed the front of her pristine car. What an ass! She, amazingly, remained calm.

22. Yeah, as tempting as it is at times,
it's a really bad idea nowadays. Not only does it serve no real purpose beyond making you look childish, but you never know with people nowadays. People will shoot you with the gun they keep under their seats, people will chase and threaten you or run into you or otherwise harm you, etc., etc. There's just something about driving that brings out the primal beast in people.

29. I got flipped off in Kentucky last week.
I was on the stretch between Cinncinati and Louisville where all those hills are. I was going up a hill and a young guy was driving in the left lane going 60mph, I was going 78. I passed him on the right and continued on. I then noticed he was driving much faster as I was coming up on traffic in the right lane. You got it, he slowed down just as I pulled into the left lane after he passed. He was messing with me like that for 10-15 miles. He would go below the limit and if I attempted to pass he would block me.
All the while he was flipping me off and gesturing for me to pull over. I have a permit to carry and had my firearm with me. I am also a 40 year old that knows better. I just let him play his game and made sure there was plenty of room between us. He eventually pulled off at an exit and flipped me off twice! I blew him a kiss (which really pissed him off).
As luck would have it a State police barracks was at the very next exit. As he wouldn't let me pass him I had plenty of time to jot down his tag number. I went in and talked to a very nice trooper who said he would speak to the driver. I hope the kid learns that what he did was not acceptable. The next driver he messes with just might be stupid enough to get caught up in the game and shoot his butt.
