Good news / bad news
The good news is that I haven't smoked a cigarette in 3 days. I haven't had a drink in 7 days. And I haven't gambled in ten days. I've also started working out and I lost five pounds last week.

The bad news is that when I woke up this morning I looked something like this:

4. ROTFLMAO! Boy oh boy, you really scared me, Droopy!
I seriously thought something had happened to you, something BAD! I'm relieved that you're OK, and all this is a wonderful, freaky joke.

Kudos to you on the smoking cessation, the weight loss, the gambling and the drinking halt! I am EXTREMELY proud of you; all this has got to be hard, but all of it will benefit you forever...

My god, and I'm just trying to lose weight, and that by itself is so hard...I don't do the rest of the things that you've given up!

CONGRATULATIONS! :yourock: :yourock:

:woohoo: :woohoo:

6. Thank you, Peggy
So far it has been easier than I anticipated, but it's still rough. I think if I keep at it for another week I'll have it all licked and I will be well on my way to being in shape. I'm hoping to transfer all of my addictive behavior into working out and being healthy.

They are a chain of restaurants popular in southwestern Ohio that sells conies, chili spaghetti, and burritos. I go in there and usually drop about twelve bucks on conies and chili spaghetti then wash it all down with sweet tea.

Congrats on the long time sobriety. I look forward to the day when I can say the same thing.

8. Wow! What a cutie.
Where were you during the last full moon. ---I quit smoking 8 weeks ago and it does get easier. It takes 2 weeks for the nicotine to get out of your system. Think of how much better you will feel. Not to mention the money you will save. This morning I posted "I'm celebrating today". Find it and read what I said about smoking. Maybe it will help. Welcome to the non-smoking side of life.:applause:

I had heard stories like mine over the years and I would think to myself, "wow--I don't ever want to go through that. I've got to quit smoking". But, I didn't. I had to wait until something like that happened. I was such an idiot.

12. I was wondering if you were on the third day of not smoking
I aways have a litlle mental breakdown on the third day of not smoking...whatever chemicals or nicotine must completely leave your body or something on the third day...

15. I'm impressed
wasn't it Ray Charles who said quitting smoking was the hardest thing he ever did? And that guy was addicted to heroin.
