How do you abuse your hair? |
|
Personally, I use hot rollers and spray the crap out of it with a humidity-fighting hair spray just so it does SOMETHING during the summer (I live in the south). I usually wash it every other evening and I use hot rollers the following AM. If my hair is sufficently damp, it still looks okay the next day.
What do you do?

Between these two lines | | is the average length of the hair on my head. It's so short and it's cut (shaved) so frequently that split-ends are never a problem. Short hair doesn't lack "body" or fullness... it just sits there doing nothing.
Plain old soap works fine for me. (However... I'm not ashamed to admit that I also enjoy using herbal and floral scented soaps from Crabtree & Evelyn.)

14. Ah... well, that makes sense then. I didn't know it was that short. |

LOL @ Crabtree and Evelyn.... I'm partial to whatever is the cheapest and is both shampoo and conditioner. A huge jug of it lasts me months. :)

about cutting my hair. I tend to every year when it is this hot. I have grown it since about 1974. In 1988, I cut two feet off; it was below my waist at the time, and I had a broken arm which made caring for it difficult. Maybe I'll listen to Neal Young's "Almost Cut My Hair" and put it off another year.

9. Donate it to Locks of Love |
|
www.locksoflove.org
I did that a year ago when I chopped off my hair. I'd only been growing it for five years, but I still had a footlong ponytail.
Locks of Love uses the hair to make wigs for kids going through chemo. It's a really neat organization, and it means so much to the kids.

17. I used to have hair down to my butt |

I've had it a few times actually. I got it cut after my grandmother died a couple of years ago and I've kept it shoulder length since then.

11. Except for dying my hair a couple times a year |
|
and using a blow dryer maybe once or twice a month my hair is pretty damn pampered and I only need to trim it once or twice a year.

13. I am blonde and keep it that way with touch-ups |

every 6 weeks. I have to wash it with volumizing shampoo and conditioner, as it is very fine. I then load it down with mousse and set it with sponge rollers. I used to use hot rollers, but it they were making my hair break off. Since it is so fine with no body, it takes about three days after a shampoo before it develops any body at all. So I only wash it once a week.

16. I wear my hair in a ponytail all the time. |

Now I have broken strands that fly out all the time. And sometimes I don't even brush my hair. :)
