Insurance companies suck. |
|
They just do. They hold all the cards, and they know it.
We just moved from a big house in a big town to a smaller house in a much smaller town. However, our homeowners' insurance premiums DOUBLED since four years ago.
When we asked why, we were told it's because "so many people are filing claims". Well, we never filed a claim, and made all our payments on time. Why punish everybody because a few people are filing claims?!
Because they can, that's why. They have us over a barrel. We have to have their product, and they know it. And they not only punish the people who have to use their product, they punish everyone else as well.

1. Record profits every year, and yet rates still increase. |

If this isn't an industry that necessitates government regulation, I'm not sure what is.
