It's darn lucky they have it too or I think my god-daughter would be dead 10 times over.

Love these dogs. I have one as well. They are the best animals I ahve ever shared house with. We need more dog threads on this board, IMHO.

Calling him a "fluffer pup" made my head go places I don't think you intended it too though.

4. What a beauty!
You must spend hours grooming her! We are so lazy and our dogs run through the burs when swimming in the pond so every summer we have our Golden shaved. She loves it and she doesn't look so neglected. Beautiful doggie Jessie is.

than her. When they play he goes after her ruff and just slobbers it. Somehow, it is always after a bath. sigh.

5. I keep old sheets and large rags, towels, inside the dog door to the
dog room AND inside the door to the kitchen to de-soggify all the pooches that come charging through the house, muddy feets flying!

What else can ya do? I have a basket set aside just for that purpose.

Kind of like, "Aw Mommm, what's wrong? Do you want to play with me? It's nice outside and I have this fun game we can play. I named the game the 'how many times do I have to bump up against it until it opens game'. Wanna play? I love you, Mom."

Unconditional love - enjoy it.
C'mon, you wouldn't post this if you didn't love this kreetur. And a very pretty one, at that. (I kidded mine by calling them "horrible monsters" - normally, while giving them another treat. Looks like yours could use an extra one).

thanks for posting him (her?). I'm having such a tough time not having a dog around. It's been a month now and I know I need to get another dog but I'm waiting until after my next week long business trip (next March). It's hard finding someone to take care of them when I'm gone. Well, it's hard because I don't trust anyone ;-) to give them the care they deserve. I wish I had your problems today - I really do!! :-)

12. Jessie rocks!
Jessie's a beautiful dog. You should be proud. So should Jessie. Hey, muddy paws? I tell you what's worse---it's having two cats we rescued from abandonment in Central Park. That's not the "worse" part---Fred and Daisy are the greatest. The "worse" part is how they puke all over our rugs on a regular basis. (Hell, I should probaly be sending this to a cat-owner's site.) If anyone wants to know how to clean cat vomit off expensive rugs, give me a shout. I'm God's own expert on the subject, I can assure you.

:) Sorry, we sheltie lovers can get cranky about that.

<on edit>

Collies have longer, narrower, muzzles. Shelites are also between 2 - 3 times smaller than Collies.

They were at a show and people kept calling Jessie's mum a "miniature collie", she got so irritated she finally burst out,"Actually, those dogs you know as collies? Well they are really standard shelties" I thought that was hilarious.

My Andy was always wanting "out" when "in" and "in" when "out." Took me a little while to realize that he didn't want "out" so much as he wanted us "out" together on some adventure, preferably chasing each other through the snow.
The was a school near where we lived with a large campus where we played the chasing game. All I had to do was say the word "school" and he'd go apeshit.

I LOVE shelties! I have "dogsat" three dogs of friends in this life and all just happened to be shelties. I know about the tennis ball habit! LOL! Bailey will chase it at least that many times, herself! About the time your arm is about to fall off and you just can't bear to throw it again, she'll nudge it closer and closer until you take the hint! And when you're about to let it go, she is so excited that she spins around in a circle! Shelties are great dogs, I agree!
