We rented it, not knowing if it was going to be funny or stupid. To our surprise.... it was (as you said) hilarious.

It's a fantastic comedy, and as a zombie movie it's actually a better zombie movie than any of the recent others, even ignoring the satire.

5. You watching it on DVD or Cinemax? |
|
There's some great extra stuff on the DVD, like what happened when he led the zombies away from the pub.

6. We saw it when it opened in America. Loved it. |
|
We absolutely cracked up. We're great fans of the Romero "... of the Dead" movies, so we really had a charge with Shaun.
I understand that these characters or the storyline is something that the British recognize. Maybe a skit from a SNL-esque show? Je ne sais pas, but it was hysterical!

Then you and your sis could have enjoyed a great movie! I always look at the ratings to see if its appropriate for everyone who is going to watch the movie. If not, the underage individual is sent elsewhere. BTW- why did your sis think this movie was something her kid should watch?

Women hate that term for some reason. It wasn't for the sake of the kid the dvd was ejected.

Have you seen the TV series "Spaced"? It's like Shaun of the Dead without the zombies. Great stuff.

it's my second favourite "britcom" after 'Black Books,' which stars Dylan Moran, the dude who played David in 'Shaun'.

I wish American tv was as good as British tv. In terms of sitcoms we've got Arrested Development and Scrubs and they've got The Office, Extras, Da Ali G. Show and Spaced.

13. Holds up under many repeated viewings. |
|
It's funny, yes, but I've seen funny movies that I've tried to watch a second time and went "what was I THINKING?"
This one is funny the second, third, fourth time...and beyond. The part with the record collection slays me EVERY time. IT's one of those "more cowbell" moments...brilliant.
