Courtney Love: I Don't Take Drugs

Troubled rocker Courtney Love denies she has a drug problem - despite being charged with possession of narcotics last month. The former Hole frontwoman admits to being a former heroin user, but insists "everybody does" prescription painkillers Hydrocodone and Oxycodone - which she was arrested carrying. Love, 39, says, "I want to make one thing clear right now. I do not take narcotics. I have taken prescription pills, and I went to rehab once. "I take Xanax that is prescribed to me, but practically everybody does that nowadays. But I do not take street narcotics." Prosecutors say Love, who lost custody of her 11-year-old daughter Frances Bean after her arrest, is expected to appear in court for an arraignment on the charges following her arrest in Los Angeles, after which she overdosed. It is currently unknown if she will faces a custodial sentence if convicted - but Sandi Gibbons, a spokeswoman for the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office, says the singer could be eligible for a drug diversion program which would spare her from a prison sentence.

Rush has already admitted that he's an addict, and admitting you have a problem is the first step in recovery. I don't know how his run in with the law is going to play out.
