I'm so tired and I can't sleep
Got that stupid lyric stuck in my head.

I haven't had a good night's sleep in about a month at this point. Too many nights up worrying and then more nights up crying and mourning and screaming at the unfairness of it all and then more nights just staring at the ceiling and trying to figure out why...why it hurts so much and why I can't seem to begin to move on from the grief? And why I have to go through the same damn thing all over again and watch another friend suffer and maybe even die? And why I got into a stupid fight with someone I care about and why I can't seem to fix things?

I'm tired.

I'm sorry.

I don't know what to do.

I'm going to go stare at the bedroom ceiling and hope.

3. I have no idea what is going on
And I was about to recommend that you drink a bunch of beer for the insomnia. But then I remembered that I don't drink anymore and it wouldn't be right if I were to make such a suggestion. Sigh.

Well, whatever is happening I hope that there is a resolution to it pretty soon and that you will have peace of mind.

4. Velma
I hope you can calm yourself and drift off into a peaceful sleep. they say time heals all, but how much time .. I don't know. Try some relaxation techniques maybe?
No real good advice from me, but do know that I care and wish you a very restful night.

5. Yikes! You sound a little like me! I was awake for most of the weekend.
If you truly can't sleep, that is your first priority. A person can go longer without food than without sleep. You may want to talk to your doctor about getting some short-term help. I have friend who was helped a lot by Ambien. And let us know about the rest. Maybe some of us can help.

6. I feel your suffering, Velma, and I wish I could be there to give you
a massage, or something that could help you relax. Long ago, I too had insomnia when I had a big loss in my life and what helped me was the amino acid tryptophan. It is present in dairy foods, esp. milk, and turkey. I don't believe the pills are available any more, but I could be wrong. You could try a nice glass of milk before you head off to bed.

Please get better; please feel better, for your own sake. :grouphug:

7. I'm so tired and I can't sleep
Sarah McLachlan

"I'm so tired, but I can't sleep...standing on the edge of something much too deep...funny how I feel so much but cannot say a word...we are screaming inside, oh, but we can't be heard...so afraid to love you, more afraid to lose...clinging to a past"

Change the tune, babycakes! Pick a new lyric and come share the new one, the old one, or both here with us.
Peace.:hi: :pals: :grouphug:

8. Sorry VelmaD
Grieving is healthy process that takes time and must truly take the time that it needs
Suffering is apart of life, just as much the joy.

"Time Passes unhindered. When we make mistakes, we cannot turn back the clock and try again. All we can do is use the present well.

with humor: please take two progmoms and call me in the morning

sleep well you need it.
