1. Amelie didn't have a cat
She just sat for one for her single flight attendant neighbor while she was away.

2. I always thought is was interesting
that no character ever fails to hear what another character said. You know, no one ever says, "I'm sorry, what? Could you repeat that?"

Not that any screenwriter worth his/her salt would include such an exchange but it's interesting....to a degree....admittedly a small degree.

6. well there are other "realism" details we leave out too
mostly (except for the Rules of Attraction and some other notables) SOME bodily functions (not the #1 that comes to mind but the second one, #2) are usually not included to depict gritty (rhymes with) reality.

8. In Back To The Future, when Marty is locked in the trunk
Marvin: "Where are the keys?"

Marty (in trunk): "The keys are in the trunk."

Marvin: "Say that again?"

Marty: "I said, the keys are in here!"

9. I often wished my life was like the Blues Brothers movie
Wherever you are, you just get your instrument out and start playing, and a band comes out of nowhere are plays along with you, and everyone in the place starts dancing in tightly choreographed fashion. And this happens several times a day. :)
