Temperature has dropped 20 degrees here this afternoon. I am
in the Kansas City area. I opened my windows for some fresh air....YIPPEE

And it's still dropping.

I feel so sorry for all the people who do not have air conditioning, and this is definitely going to be a wonderful day here in KC.

The wind is blowing in my house and smells so good. Get so sick of Air Cond. and the high bills.

21. I was there Weds. - yesterday.
Oh man, I'm not used to heat like that after living in the Northwest for ten years.

I did go to the nicely air conditioned natural science museum there -- wow, that was an impressive museum!!!

2. Excellent news , if not a trend!
More proof of my global cooling theory. (No, I don't drink the BushCo Kool-Aid! They may have blundered onto something started by warming.)

12. Yes, ma'am, we do. Lower humidity, highs in the mid-80s --
and lows at night low enough to open the windows!!

23. It's a glorious 61 degrees F here in Michigan!
The rest of the week's forecast calls for no higher than 80 degrees F and partly cloudy skies. I can live with that!!

10. I'm so cold I'm wearing a sweatshirt...
The sun is behind clouds and there is a breeze (big rain storms last night, so everything is wet outside) 67 degrees right now...brrrrr

16. I lived in Cedar Falls, worked at Sartori Hospital (or medical center)
back in 1970...wow small world. I wish I could remember my address but I don't remember it. Just that it had a driveway that was straight up and down and it snowed a bunch in 70 or 71 and my twins thought it was scarey.

20. It hasn't changed.
Sartori is still there (nice small hospital in the middle of a neighborhood). It still snows and is cold in the winter and is hot a humid in the summer (except for when it's not...:eyes:)

15. That must be what's coming our way
They've been saying it's going to cool down and GASP, maybe rain a little in Dallas tomorrow or Thursday.

Our elec bill is over $200 in the summer. Outrageous. If I was Yemeni I'd riot.

18. This rain rules!
The forecast had been rain after midnight last night. It didn't arrive until this afternoon. I guess that, technically, that's after midnight.

22. I think the "cold" front will be coming our way tomorrow
thats the one thing that is sucking about being on the east coast right now. The rest of the country has already begun the cool-down and we are the last to get it. Hopefully this time tomorrow it will only be in the 70's. Until then we have to put up with another heat index of 113!

24. It's 71 here in NW Ohio
today (Wednesday). It is a welcome relief from the steam-bath temperatures we have been having. I opened up all the windows to let this kitties enjoy the fresh air.
