After years of not speaking to me, my brother called me this morning.

Last week I was composing a letter in my head to say good bye to my family, because I did'nt want things to be left as they were. I have been mourning the loss of my family for years, eventhough they are all alive.

So my brother Joe calles me an hour ago. If he did'nt address me as sister I don't know if I would have recognized his voice. I was shocked once it registered who was calling. I thought for sure he was calling to tell me that my mom died. But that was not it.

He called to say " Let's burry the hatchet". I could'nt believe it. All I could do was say "Thank you. Thank you so much for calling." Then we were able to talk about what is going on now. But after a little while his cell phone died. The last thing we were talking about was fuck bush. This gives me hope for him like you would'nt believe. Yes, he has problems, lots of them even. I feard loosing him to the dark side. But now I know he will be fine.

Things are certainly not fixed between us. Or between my mom and I. I spoke to her today for a few minutes too, as she was there. We had'nt spoken for months due to issues with my brother. My sister and I have'nt spoken for a couple of years now as well. They are all together down in florida.

Our relationship has either been nonexistent or depressing, for many years. I have been sucked in only to be chewed up and spit out in the past. So as happy as I am, I am sad as much.

But, today is today and last nite I could'nt sleep because I was thinking about my brother. I was visualizing him as being the brother I want him to be. And today he called.

So I am putting out to the universe that I am thankful for the things which I recieve. :hi:

there are lots of hurts it seems but this was a huge step
