5. I guess she got in trouble with the IRS
she tried to write off the upkeep of her hair as a business expense.

13. Yeah, she also wrote off all of her costumes for her shows.
She never wore the same one twice. She told the IRS that her, "Aura" destroys the costumes and she needs a new one everytime she performs.
The IRS didn't buy it.

and they were VERY HOT dreams! She plumped up a bit over the years, but haven't we all? She's still a great looking woman and man, can she sing!

20. That's what I'm saving ...
but looks like it was deleted.

Isn't it just funny that some people have to go out of their way to make a remark like that?

You don't see me gettin' all catty when they go see Britney Spears.

7. Lucky, lucky you!
I am in the process of refinishing my floors, and today I had Stevie Nick's Best Of album playing! Great music to work to! (or anything else you may want to add...) She's fabulous!

You must give us a recap of the concert...

I hope this means your partner found a job, and they're you're going to the concert together. Wishing you a wonderful evening, and hoping you'll come back with a post-concert report! :pals:

Edited to note that I'm looking forward to that report!

But I took my friend Tina to the concert. Michael likes Stevie but Tina LOOOOOOOOVES her and I promissed her that I'd take her.

18. Hey. Did you guys know that she really isn't a Gypsy. I used to live
in Germany and traveled through Italy and I saw some real Gypsies.
She doesn't act, look, or even dress like any of the Gypsies I saw.

22. Here's the re-cap
She started the show with "Enchanted" which was from her "Wild Heart" album. It's a real up beat rock number. She looked fantastic in her signature flowing black skirts and lace shawl.

Guess what?? NO PLATFORM BOOTS!! I was shocked. I guess Stevie figures .... Fuck it! I'm 57 and I want some comfy shoes when I twirl Speaking of 57, she does not look it. Her hair is still blond, not big and teased like in the 80's but long and frames her face beautifully.

The second song was "Stop Draggin' My Heart Around" w/ her lead guitarist Waddy Watel taking the Tom Petty part.

In answer to Allen's question, yes she does some Fleetwood Mac songs. She sang "Outside the Rain" (Bella Donna solo cut) and then moved into "Dreams". That first song is basically the sequel to "Dreams" and Stevie always sings those two songs together.

Stevie left the stage for a quick costume change while the fella playing the grand piano played this long and beautiful solo that slowly became "Rhianon". As Stevie walked back out on stage the crowd was on it's feet (again). I love how she performs this song now. It starts out slow with the piano and then into the original rock number. This was one of the loudest ovations of the night.

She followed up with "Sorcerer" (Trouble in Shangri La CD) and then off the stage for another quick change while this FANTASTIC percussionist kicked major ass with the intro to "Stand Back". This song is always a show stopper. Only complaint I have was the lack of movement by the back up singers. Honey, they need me to teach them a few ala Supreme movements, at least on this song. The whole place was on their feet again dancing our butts off. Another HUGE loud ovation.

What can I say about "Landslide"? That is my all time favorite Stevie Nicks song. As she sang they showed pictures of Stevie as a little girl, a teenager and clips from her performances over the years. Her two backup singers are wonderful. They blend beautifully with Stevie on this song. Stevie has probably sang this song 1000's of times, but she still shows such emotion when she sings "Times made you bolder, children get older and I getting older too". Plus for us long time fans we understand that and I'm so glad given all she's been through she's still here to sing about it.

I won't go through the whole set. But stand outs for me were:

"Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You", a beautiful ballad from "The Wild Heart" CD. My friend Tina and I were tearing up at this point.

"Circle Dance" (Bonnie Raitt Cover), which I hope Stevie records.

"Edge of Seventeen", which is really cool because Stevie walks around the edge of the stage and shakes hands with fans. DAMN! I have to get front row seats one day.

"Rock And Roll" (Led Zeppelin Cover), this was fantastic. They were flashing some 1960-ish colorful graphics and Stevie and decked out in ........ PANTS!! Yes, Miss Stevie had on some kick ass bell bottoms and a funky hat ala Janis Joplin. Vanessa Carlton (opening act) joined the back up singers on this number.

The final song was beautiful. "Beauty & the Beast". Stevie came back on stage with her hair pulled up wearing a beautiful black dress with a fur (could be fake so don't get a PETA fit going) collared jacket. Behind her on the video screen was clips from the old B&W film of the same name. I can't get over how powerful her voice has become over the years. I had chills when she sang this. She hasn't done this song in years, I'm glad she's added it again.

One last bow and it was all over.

Needless to say, I've been on a Stevie high all day!!!

26. Wow! That sounds like one awesome concert!
I wonder if she will ever record one of her concerts for CD release? That would be great, for those of us who haven't been able to go to one of her concerts...

Thanks for posting the re-cap!! :bounce:

27. She's done two videos of her shows back in the 80's
I wish she'd do one for this tour.

Her Vegas shows should have been recorded. I read that they were fantastic.
