My grandpa was in Salerno once they got into Italy. Most of the war he was in North Africa.

You know I am probably one of the few people to have a grandfather too young for WWII and one too old. According to my dad, his father tried to enlist but wouldnt allow him because of his back. My mom's dad well, was 12 when Pearl was attacked, and well you do the math, and consider all his brothers who were older were in the service.

3. Wow.
I've done some research about the POW camp where my grandfather was in WWII. He was at Stalag Luft I in Barth, Germany.

Where's Cassino?

My grandfather fought through Kasserine in Tunis, to Sicily, and then Italy.
