Chicago
I thought that perhaps I would like to move to Chicago one day - I know little about the town and that would make it very interesting for me to start up a life there.

Anyone that knows a bit about Chicago: what are the good/bad qualities? Recommend moving? What is the city known for (besides wind)?

1. Known for lots
Good food, variety of restaurants. Good Jazz bars... pretty efficient transit system..... lots of baseball. Lots of different ethnic communities (little store owners are so awesome)

I left cause it was COLD. Hard to find parking and expensive parking downtown. "Sweat equity" if you shovel snow for a spot for your car, you can legally leave any piece of crap as a marker.

I left for Austin mostly, just as cool not as many retaurants.. but a lot warmer.
