I'm an Atheist and my thread about god was moved to Religion and Theology. |
|
:wtf: I take genuine offense to that. I was trying to have a serious discussion about human perceptions on the nature of god and it was moved to Religion & Theology. The DU equivalent of the catacombs beneath Rome, where it will be dead and buried and forgotten about. http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=214&topic_id=24262&mesg_id=24262

4. YOU take genuine offense? What about your subject line? |
|
Deliberately offensive and provocative. If you dish it out, you'd better be able to take it.

to agree with you. That kind of offensive (at least to me).

10. You can spout out what ever you want. I was merely asking questions. |
|
I don't particularly like to be stifled, I mean it was in GENERAL Discussion.

The title was kind of offensive (at least to me), but |
|
with that aside, it was moved for a reason. I guess they thought it would get more coverage where they put it.

In all fairness, the thread was remarkably flame-free.

5. Actually I always thought R&T moved fairly quickly for a subforum. And |
|
it thends to be given over to debates about God's existence or lack thereof.. so I can see how the thread got landed there.

13. I don't think that a thread is written from an atheistic perspective |
|
should be anywhere near something called "Religion & Theology"

15. But it still deals with God.. or the lack thereof. I mean you can make the |
|
same argumnet that a discussion of anti-matter shouldn't be placed in a matter forum... but probably it would be.

If you're trying to have a discussion about ' human perceptions on the nature of god' it should be in the Religion and Theology.

16. human perceptions on the nature of god |
|
can be examined scientifically from many different points of view. You can look at it psychologically, sociologically, anthropologically, etc.

14. Even if it's from an atheist's perspective, it's still about god |
|
Therefore, why shouldn't it be in the Religion and Theology forum??
Just wondering.
