Good Lord, it's hot.
120 with the heat index, 101 without. Absolutely oppressive heat today.

AC is on full blast, every fan in the house is on full blast, and the house is still 82 degrees inside.

I am grateful that I live in the trees. It is at least 15 degrees cooler up here, compared to where I lived previously. Less blacktop, more trees.

My bus did not have a/c either. And it was packed. Ugh, I can't wait for my poor car to be fixed :cry:

6. 99 degrees in The Nation's Capitol
with a heat index of 105. Yesterday, it was 114.

We're supposed to have severe thunderstorms this evening, and then a cooling trend: Highs in the low to mid-80s, nightime lows in the 70s.

10. we just got over our heat wave two days ago
it is awesome today - partly sunny and lower 80s. Aaaahh. Don't you know, things will change, things will go your way. Just hold on for one more day.
