A sign: Flexible Flyer Yankee Clipper-we just found it. Great condition-
probably a 50 yr old sled. Free! Right out in our parking lot! At our apartment complex, people discard things for others to take if they wish before the trash people come to pick it up. We just got a sled on the very day we decided to move to MN-the land of frozen lakes and snow! I'd say that is a good sign!:bounce: I love sledding!!!!!

6. It is in incredible condition. All the rivets are intact. The wood is in
great shape, worn evenly. The rails are all straight. It is so pretty, I'd hang it on the wall. I can't believe someone tossed it! It doesn't even creak when you lay on it and "turn" the front. :7

7. Those things are classics. I practically grew up on a
Yankee Clipper. My wife doesn't believe me that you ride them on your belly.

8. There is nothing I did as a kid, and few things as an adult that I love
more than sledding! My father (he didn't know any better) used to hook us all to the back of the car and pull us down the street! Imagine the leaded gas fumes! We all had sleds. We'd pile as many as possible on top. I'm surprised we lived to tell about it. I'll try to post a pic.

This picture is of the short model. The one we found is longer.

9. What a great picture! And I'd definitely say finding your grand new
sled is a sign! What a perfect thing to have happen, and right on the day you decided to move to Minnesota...Maybe the former owners moved to Florida? Who knows, or cares! That is one lucky sled...

CONGRATULATIONS! :woohoo: :applause: :woohoo:
