I just got off the phone for a Health Services Company needing a Data Entry Op. for 23K, which isn't bad and something I could do. They have been trying to reach me for 2-3 days and I finally get a hold of them. They scheduled me an interview for tomorrow at 10:30, e-mailed me driving directions.
Minutes later I get another e-mail from them with the subject line reading "Interview Canceled" I clicked on it and they told me "I regret to inform you that your interview has to be cancelled. The position was filled internally. Sorry for the inconvenience."

It is rough. Been to countless places in the past month, most of the time just to 'apply'.

What a sucky way to communicate with people. So rude. If you had the interview scheduled, they should have kept the commitment. If an internal person didn't express interest in the job before an outside search was launched, they should have lost out. I'm brutal.
Good luck to you. Wish you lived near me. I'm trying to fill several spots it sounds like you might fit.
