How old is Diane Lane?
I saw her yesterday on the Daily Show and I have to admit, as a 19-year-old guy, she is a fine woman.

How old she is - it's not like I think I'd have a chance with her. I just want to know because I think it'd be amusing if she's near-or-past 40, and here I am, less than 1/2 her age oggling at her.

7. Here's her mini-biography --
Diane Lane was born on 22 January 1965 in New York. Her parents are acting coach Burt Lane and nightclub singer/centerfold Colleen Farrington. Diane was acting from a very young age and had debuted on stage by the time she was only 6 years old. Acclaimed theater productions like "The Cherry Orchard" and "Medea" led to her being discovered by Hollywood. She was 13 when she was cast by director George Roy Hill in his wonderful 1979 film A Little Romance (1979), opposite Sir Laurence Olivier.

9. Haha, so she IS more than 2x my age
It doesn't matter though. As Ed Helms would have said, she's definitely a MILF - "mother I'd like to find-out-how-you-look-so-fabulous...and f***)." But she also seemed like all around a really cool person. Very charismatic, very nice-seeming.

4. Man, I'd say she has to be in her forties..........
I remember the first movie I ever saw her in. Francis Ford Coppola's "Rumble Fish" with Mickey Rourke and Matt Dillon.
She was the sweetest teenage girl I'd ever seen. It's a pretty decent flick to, check it out if you get a chance.

5. She's ageless...
She's been in movies since I've been paying attention just about... check out "Rumblefish" or "The Big Town" and see how great she looked back then, too. And if you haven't seen "Unfaithful" yet, run right out and buy the DVD. You'll thank me.

Man, that woman looks gooooood. I love Marisa Tomei too. Those older women got some class and looks going on in.....

Nevermind I can't think straight.

I've had two professors who have worked with Diane Lane on seperate projects. They say her kindness supersceeds her beauty. Plus, she is one hell of a liberal!

14. I think she is very attractive and I loved her in that movie with
Richard Gere where she ran around on him. One word title...anyway.
Last night...she looked sooooo uncomfortable talking to Jon Stewart. It made me feel bad. She was dressed very sexy too which could have made her more self conscious than she expected. I'd have felt a bit underdressed, or overdressed, whichever you prefer. I like her and I hated to see her drawing circles on the table with her fingers like she was squirming to leave. I couldn't do the self promotion thing that actors seem to have to do to get "exposure". I admire them for their courage though.

20. NoSheep, I saw that interview and I can tell you one thing --
Edited on Thu Jul-28-05 06:58 AM by Radio_Lady
Jon Stewart did NOT do a good job interviewing her AT ALL. My husband and I watched it and it was awful. Although they talked about their children, there was no real discussion between these two people. I think she did a good job, given what she was asked to do. I didn't find anything inappropriate about her dress. She looks quite beautiful, even without much makeup, in the movie.

I'm not sure that Jon was comfortable with the interview for some reason. (I find his show an odd mix of comedy, celebrity interview, and political repartee and quite uneven some nights.)

At one point, she admonished him for not using his "notes" (pre-production questions suggested by the assistants who prepare them for the interview).

As a broadcaster of and on for the last four decades, I can tell you that most of the strength of these interviews comes from the skill and knowledge of the interviewer and/or the quality of the questions that he/she asks the guest.

Thanks for listening.

23. Right. I was infatuated with a man 14 years older than me when I was

a teenager.

Now that I am sixty-six, most actors are quite a bit younger, but I still feel my heart go pitter-patter when I see:

Jude Law, Ewan McGregor, Bruce Greenwood -- (who was born in 1956 in Canada) -- I have a stepson who was born in 1958! Just saw him in "Racing Stripes" and just loved him as a man who has lost his wife.

When I was younger, I loved to look at Peter O'Toole, Christopher Plummer, Christopher Reeve (R.I.P., Superman), and other stars of the silver screen.

Yep. It's OK to love Diane Lane from afar. But please don't stalk her! :-)

Beautiful Diane Lane -- lots of gorgeous photos at:

In peace,

Radio Lady
