Stay Awhile
Into my room he creeps
Without making a sound
Into my dreams he peeps
With his hair all long and hanging down

How he makes me quiver
How he makes me smile
With all this love I have to give him
I guess I'm gonna stay with him awhile

She brushes the curls from my eyes
She drops her robe on the floor
And she reaches for the light on the bureau
And the darkness is her pillow once more

How she makes me quiver
How she makes me smile
With all this love I have to give her
I guess I'm gonna stay with her awhile

How it makes me quiver
How it makes me smile
With all this love I have to give you
Guess I'm gonna stay with you awhile

How it makes me quiver
How it makes me smile
With all this love I have to give you
Guess I'm gonna stay with you awhile

Stay with you awhile

(whispered)
I guess I'm gonna stay

2. it is one of the hokiest, most corny songs from the 1970s
Edited on Wed Jul-27-05 06:59 PM by datasuspect
from a two-person (70s beta male with macrame 3/4 length sweater, flared sleeves, waist belt, white-fro and his lover i think - i hope) band called the bells.

but they are nice sentiments.

and the way they sing it - pure bedroom voices. it is the aural equivalent of some of the finest fabric softener commercials from the 1980s.

3. Since I don't have the earworm, I don't hear it being sung...
Just the lyrics by themselves are quite lovely, IMHO! I'll bet I'm lucky not to have that particular earworm, judging from your remarks...

Thanks! :hi:
