I have always hesitated before criticizing physical attributes of our opponents, feeling that Rush's slam at then 13-year-old Chelsea Clinton was something that was beyond over the top, and unworthy of our response. I was slammed here for standing up, in fact, for Laura Bush, along those lines. Week after week, Adam's apple Coulter takes the same tack, and has done it again. The gloves are off. She is a scrawny, addicted-to-something slug, and I am calling her on it. She - not me - has put herself in play. Each week she does this. Is this the most egregious? No. Is she now fair game? Yes. Here you go (check out her informed and thoughtful criticism of Edwards):

I would just ask that it is kept in mind--good for the goose and good for the gander. Because Laura is a Stepford, dumb and as insipid as doorknobs in a box fragile female and because she appears to need some sort of "coddling" or "protection" from criticism of her dowdy and dumpy appearance,over which she definately does have some control if she would just show some interest in looking better (like hiking up those droopy , waist length breasts into a foundation undergarment) but obviously does not care much about her personal appearance and so is as much as embarrassment as her husband. It does not matter what either of them have done- the point is the attack on their physical bodies which, it is said, they cannot help. Re-read my initial thread. I have felt the same way throughout my experience on DU, and have said so often, sometimes to the opprobrium of the masses. Like I have said here, I have had it, with week after week of her pulling this kind of stuff, or Rush making fun of Wesley Clark as "Ashley Wilkes," or of Chelsea. Ann, like her colleagues, is a cheap bully. The one thing they can't stand is ridicule. They can dish it out, but not take it. She has dished it out, time and again, on the physical attributes of those she hates (a long list - checked out her comments on Norman Mineta, a BUSH appointee, and an Asian-American?). Please place your sympathies elsewhere, with all due respect (I mean that). And I will be back with you to condemn this kind of ad hominem attack on DU for those who did not initiate it.
