Are y'all checking the panda-cam regularly? |

http://nationalzoo.si.edu/Animals/GiantPandas/It's great. Mama panda at the National Zoo, with a little itty bitty larval panda. It's really really cute.

1. I was at the zoo over memorial weekend and saw her before the birth |

The zoo guide said they can't tell if pandas are really pregnant until they actually give birth.
Fascinating creatures...

Our female panda in Atlanta is under "birth watch" until mid-August. She was artificially inseminated back in March or April, IIRC. So far, last I heard they have no clue if she's pregnant or not.
But wow! The National Zoo's newborn panda has grown significantly since I last saw it! It seems like the little guy (or gal!) is doing quite well...
