Should I smoke this last cigarette?

I'm not even a smoker but my neighborhood market guy convinced me to buy a buy one get one free deal the other day. My first pack only has one left. Should I smoke it right now or what?

Stop before it becomes a habit, ya dork. (I'm couching this in such strong terms because I care about you. Now _stop it_. Also, I'm a smoker and smoking that first pack of cigarettes was the most stupid decision I ever made.)

Oh, no danger of me being hooked. I'll stop these suckers when I'm done. I don't like them enough to ever be a smoker. Never have been an addictive person.

So you can't quit? How long have you been smoking? I heard, honestly, that acupuncture works pretty well.

5. I hear ya' Heidi....

I used to smoke. When I first met my wife, she was an ex-smoker, but I was smoking at the time. One day, she came home with a pack of cigs and said that she wanted to smoke again because my smoking really made her want to. I threw my pack of cigs away, and hers too. Haven't touched one since in 13 years. I may be responsible for my bad habits, but I just couldn't be responsible for someone elses.

My husband and I are quitting together this summer. And as 'bill suggested, I may try acupuncture, though I may not need it, as it's pretty easy for me to drop habits. (I smoke about half a pack a day, which is much, much less than I smoked when I was a journalist.)
