The screen capture is dubious. That being said, I find it unlikely that Bush would give the press the finger. He's flipped off cameras before in the past, but even he is not classless enough to do it now.

I really think it's his bird finger. First of all, his thumb would have to be freakishly long. Secondly, Jay thinks it's his finger. Thirdly, he is the kind of classless person who would do that...thinking, of course, that he was out of camera range.

If you take all the frames around this one, none of the others look like a middle finger.
If you turn your hand a certain way, your thumb is visible to the left of your index finger - in a way that this frame could be.

You really have to check all the other frames to be sure - and in none of those, does it look like a middle finger.
