Why am I so hungry? What should I eat next? |
|
I've been awake for 6.5 hours. I have eaten:
One fried-egg sandwich on buttered toast with two slices of canadian bacon. One banana. One peanut butter and honey sandwich on whole wheat bread. One ham and cheese sandwich on whole wheat bread.
I am at the office, I have one banana left, and there is a bowl of Skittles on top of the water cooler down the hall.
why am I so hungry, and what do I eat next?

5. mmmh... absolutely. what a great idea!! |
|
ready to leave for one myself, now. :)
do you have vending machines there? some have the commercial bars in dark chocolate these days. can't remember which, like dark milky way, is it? not the best, but will offset the pangs. and still fun to eat.
good luck!
peace!

I'll definitely stay away from that bowl-o-skittles down the hall.
Thanks!

It's easy to mistake hunger for thirst.

I've been keeping well hydrated of late.
(that's not counting the water I drank at home this morning.)

21. As a matter of fact ***TMI warning*** |
|
I'm six months post-partum (breastfeeding is going well), but I had some vicious mood swings on Sunday and Tuesday (tantrum level), and some very light spotting yesterday.
I do have an IUD now, and that combined with being post-partum tells me absolutely NOTHING about where I might be in my cycle. The spotting was a complete surprise.
For all I know now, my cycle has six wheels on it and they're all different sizes.

It's filling, and it's supposed to help with cholesterol, which is good since you ate so much meat, eggs and dairy earlier today. Also, it's supposed to help with supply.
I was ravenous the whole time I was lactating, so I'm guessing that's why you're hungry. Is your kid having a growth spurt by chance?

since the day he was born! He's beginning the transition to solids - cereal 2-3 times a day now. I think his increased caloric needs are finally taking their toll on me.
Your oatmeal suggestion is a great one - I have a baked oatmeal recipe that stores well, and I can bring it to the office too.
