1. YYYYYYYEEEESSSSSSSS!!!!!!
I love my name, but no one can spell it or pronounce it.

And I used to have Smith for a last name, but then I got married. Now everyone screws up BOTH my names. It does get irritating.

11. My last name is very hard to pronounce.
It has 7 vowels in it and only 4 consonants. I've never heard anyone pronounce it right the first time.

I think everybody does, unless they have a really easy name like Tom or Jill. LeftyDad's first middle and last are all boring white bread names and people still misspell them, mispronounce them or call him by similar names.

My name is Dreya. DRAY-yuh.
It's not short for anything.
No, it's not short for Andrea. I'm sure of that. No, it's not.

I had a landlord once who was absolutely incapable of saying my name, and I rented there for three years. Most of the time he would talk to me just without saying my name, but every once in a while he had to attempt it: "Diarreah...."

I sign my name: first initial, middle name, last name.

My last name is also quite common with only five letters and it is also commonly misspelled.

When people ask me what the first initial stands for I make up something silly.

My last name the e and i get flipped and no matter how they spell it they say it wrong.

Plus I go by Lynne and that is my middle name so they always call out my first name and it is not my favorite name in the world.

37. That's why I gave my kids ultra-simple names.
My name is impossible for people to spell. I don't blame them. I blame my mom!!!!

I don't know why people give their kids names like MackKenzee or Jhordania -- it's just going to mean hours spent correcting people and fuming over ugly renditions of their name.

"How d'ya spell that? What? What? Is that Turkish? What?"

Misspelled frequently (there are two common ways to spell it, and at least 4 variants)
Mistaken for a similar name frequently
Mispronounced in some hilarious ways.

French name. Shell Beau, maybe that's our problem. We should both pick good old Freedom names.

My first name itself isn't uncommon, yet it's not the most popular name in the world, either. There's several spelling variations, so people get it wrong every now and then.

My last name...oh. Very German. Very hard to pronounce, and it's spelled quite differently than it sounds.

I think it's one of the easiest names because it only has one standard spelling but people still get it wrong. It's like they expect me to have an uber trendy spelling. I often joke with friends that I'm gonna just go with it and rename my self Gezykah.
