I got carded last night!

It was so sweet. It's been a loooonnnnnngggggg time since that happened. Cute little waiter, prime candidate for a boy-toy. I asked him to marry me.

Damn, I'm getting old though. I had one beer and this morning my stomach was wrecked. Yes, I ate along with the brew. It felt the same way it used to feel when my buds and I would knock back a pitcher or two.

I will definitely be going back to that restaurant -- but only when Ken is working!

The last time I got "proofed," as we say around here, I happened to be in line at a liquor store with a bunch of kids and they must have thought I was with them! LOL! The time before that, I was 26!:-)

2. I was 32 the last time

It was a beautiful day. I had just won a big award at work and was at the sauce shop buying a bottle of champagne to celebrate with my sister and BIL. Getting carded at 32 just made the day so much sweeter.

Local Qwik-Stop got busted for selling to minors a few months ago. Barely managed to keep their beer license.
New policy (posted in several places in the store): "If you got beer in one hand, have your ID in the other."
EVERYBODY gets carded.

5. I get carded all the time at the grocery store when I buy wine.

But only because the laws in Georgia are so strict. I buy wine at the grocery sometimes when I am too lazy to stop at the liquor store. And the cashier can see that I way, way over the legal drinking age.

6. In New York State, you have to go to a liquor store to buy wine

but you can buy beer in the grocery store. In North Carolina, you can buy wine in the grocery store, but have to go to a "package store" to buy hard liquor. I was quite surprised to find wine in the grocery store when I first saw it. When I was visiting California, they had wine in the grocery store, but wouldn't let me buy it because the line was so long that it was after midnight by the time I reached the checkout...:crazy:
