Poll question: Just got Battlestar Galactica - Season 1 at Best Buy |
|
Yeah, I know the official US release has more stuff and will be released September 20th. But I don't have cable and I completely missed out on this series (except for the four-hour miniseries which I have watched many times). As soon as it was available, I snagged it.
My question is this: Should I watch these episodes in one big 13-hour marathon, one episode a night for two weeks, or one episode a week for thirteen weeks (to make it last longer)?

1. You could *try* to watch it once a night |
|
or once a week. Go ahead. Try. :hi:
I vote for one big marathon. :bounce:

2. Isn't it less than 13 hours? |
|
If it's a US series, each hour is only 40 minutes without commercials, so you can do it in 9 hours or so.

4. I think you're right. It's officially 9 hours and some minutes. |
|
That's why I figured in a few hours for pizza and bathroom activities.

3. When we were Going through a Babylon-5 DVD season |
|
We watched 1 DVD at a time - and watched one episode of "Radar Men From the Moon" or similar short at the start.

Best Buy currently has the "UK release"--basically the Sci-Fi show as it was released in the UK on SkyOne. (Apparently, the only difference is a different theme song.)
There will be a US release of the new show on September 20th, which will include a whole bunch of extras not on this release AND the four-hour miniseries. I already have the miniseries, so I didn't mind springing for this one. I HAVE to see this show.

8. They have La Femme Nikita season 3 at Best Buy... |
|
Their price on it? EIGHTY-FOUR DOLLARS?
For that much money, Peta Wilson better stop by my house and watch them with me...

11. Marathon. Wow, BG has been out for a long time on DVD and you just got it? |
|
It's a bit cheezy at times but Starbuck is outrageously smarmy and outrageous; Dirk Benedict is a hottie too... :9

I actually did watch the entire old series on DVD. It took a couple of months.
