Thank you note to my interviewer...
What do you think? Is it too desperate? The embracing adventures is how I used to be, until I happened upon the great black hole of the Bunnypants administration and the black hole of unemployment:eyes:. Please give me honest answers.

Dear Mr. *****,

I would like to thank you for the time that you set aside on Thursday afternoon to discuss the possibility of me joining the team at **********.

I am very enthusiastic about the idea of working at **********. I feel as if the position would be a perfect fit for everyone involved. I am a people person, meticulous about details, and I like to approach each and every day as if new and wonderful adventures are just waiting to be explored and embraced. I enjoy and embrace challenges and this sounds like the perfect place for me to work. I very much enjoyed discussing the position with you. I know that I would be an asset to your team. I very much hope that you feel the same way.

The time and consideration that you have given me is very, very much appreciated. I can be reached at ***-***-**** or by email at *****@*******.net should you need any additional information or references.

Sincerely,

***** *****

3. honest answer
over the top. A short and sweet one will let him/her know you are grateful for the opportunity, and be more effective.

IMO.

4. It sounds very needy
Which means it's perfect for today's job-seeker.

Human Resources people live for letters like that. You probably just doubled your chances.

Good luck!

5. Minor edit suggestion
Remove as many instances of the word "very" as you can. The surrounding text conveys your enthusiam sufficiently. Otherwise it's a nice letter.

6. Nah, it's too much, too needy, too much hyperbole

Dear Mr. *****,

I would like to thank you for the time that you set aside on interview on Thursday afternoon to discuss the possibility of me joining the team at **********. for the position of (insert position here) at (insert company name here).

I am very enthusiastic about the idea of working at **********. I feel as if believe the position would be is a perfect fit for everyone involved (Rabrrrrrr note - that doesn't make sense - how can one position fit "everyone"?). I am a people person, meticulous about details, and I like to approach each and every day as if new and wonderful adventures are just waiting to be explored and embraced. I enjoy and embrace challenges and this sounds like the perfect place for me to work. (Rabrrrrrr note - if it were me, I'd toss your resume out for those last two sentences unless I were REALLY VERY VERY impressed with you in the interview) I very much enjoyed discussing the position with you. I know that I would be an asset to your team. I very much hope that you feel the same way. (here is a good place to summarize some of the interview that happened: restating something that you think you might have given a less than excellent answer to, or just making a few points of what was talked about to tell the interviewer that you were paying attention, remember things, and also to jar his memory of the interview).

I appreciate the time and consideration that you have given gave me is very, very much appreciated. I can be reached at ***-***-**** or by email at *****@*******.net should you need any additional information or references.

Sincerely,

Business people don't use words like "very" or "a lot" or "from the depths of my heart" etc. Don't write like a teenager.

7. Thanks...
I have "tweaked" it a bit. I do appear a bit desperate, but hell...I am...Ha!

Thanks again!
:hi:

8. Excellent revision.
You really don't want to come across as desperate or unprofessional. Take Rabrrrrrr's advise.
