I actually turned around at the next overlook to get that shot and then had to walk back on the Parkway because the area was corded-off.

5. Nice picture
We used to hike along the road instead of the Appalachian Trail. You got better views that way. It's pretty amazing how much the road is banked through the curves.

Im getting a craving to go .

Just get in my car and drive for hours . I love to do that but Im doing it less and less the older I get.

Im way overdue.

16. I've really got to look for more roads like that.
I love going to the shore so I can walk on the beach but I do that in off season to avoid the crowds.

I need to find beautiful rides in the northeast.

I'm thinking of taking a few rides on the Taconic Parkway to build more muscle strength before my trike ride on the Blue Ridge Parkway, those curves will take a lot of handling on 3 wheels.

*sigh* it was very difficult to drive away ... the park admission pass is good for one week. If my hotel for the night had been near the north end of the park I might have gone back to hang out there for another day.

22. the last time for me was over a half a lifetime ago, it's more beautiful
today than it was then or perhaps I just feel that way because the areas surrounding some of our cities have become so ugly
