Bush Lied
appears to be the bumper sticker that pisses them off the most.

Today was the second time my bumper stickers were vandalized this month. I think I caught the person who did it. I was walking out to my car to head out to the country and I saw someone standing at the back of my car, staring at it for an awfully long time. I stopped and watched him but I didn't see him do anything. Then he walked back to his car (parked by mine) and I walked to the back of my car. I saw that my Bush Lied sticker had the "Lied" part peeled off with the Bush part left on (that's the same MO as last time). So I picked up the part of the sticker that was on the ground (also same MO - messy vandalist!) and walked over to him and asked him if he peeled my bumper sticker off. He said no but he had a chip on his shoulder belligerent stance which truthfully could have been because he seemed about 17, an age where the chip is often cemented on the shoulder. Then he walked away and then turned around and said, "Well, you're a liberal." (WTF?! It sounded like he wanted to end that sentence with, "Whaddya expect?"). I shot back, "Well, liberal or conservative, peeling bumper stickers off of a car is vandalism." He shrugged and walked away.

So, I will be getting some replacement stickers that say Bush Lied and will just keep replacing it. I'm tempted to replace all of my bumperstickers with Bush Lied, Bush Lied, Bush Lied.....ad nauseaum.

1. Arrogant 17 year olds are almost as dangerous as lying bushes.
When I saw the title of this thread, the simplicity made me think my younger days when I learned the shortest verse in the Bible: Jesus wept. or Jesus cried. That might be an interesting suffix to your sticker:

Bush lied, Jesus cried.

Sorry if I put religion where its not supposed to be. Adults will think twice before damaging someone else's property, but for protection from young children or old morons, superstition should guarantee that your sticker remains intact.

2. Idiots. I've never vandalized a Republican's car.
It's their right to display their low IQ if they want. ;)

3. Yeah,
It would never occur to me to vandalize another's property. I have difficulty not letting a bird fly when I see Bush/Cheney stickers but even there, I've learned to do it surrepticiously.

I'm so tempted to replace all of my stickers with the same one since that's the one that keeps getting vandalized. Well, my Kerry/Edwards one got removed too (in the last round), but I've got oodles of those.

It amuses me to think of the back of my car covered with Bush Lied stickers.

4. I decided that I didn't want anyone to vandalize my stickers...
So I scotch-taped them inside my back window...where no-one can reach! You might want to try that...

 :hi:

5. Good one
except that I would have to pare them down. I have maybe eight of them. I wouldn't be able to see through the window.

I think this will taper off once the teenage yahoos stop showing up at the lake for afternoon swims (I live on a barge on a lake).

In a way, I feel better having it somewhat confirmed that this is teenaged behavior. It wigged me out when I didn't know if I had a psycho 30 something fundie rabid right winger or a deluded teenager or ?.

If this is the same person who did it at the beginning of the month, hopefully, he will no longer feel the bravado of anonymity and will knock it off.

that make you want to carry a copy of enlistment papers... with a ready addressed envelope... you can find em online, by the way... pick the marines... they need warm bodies to fill the bags the most, and wont turn anyone down.

i havent had anyone take me up on the offer, yet... oddly. wonder why that is.

7. Put ten of them on your car with superglue.
And install a camera somewhere so it can see the back of your car. You get this clown on tape and press charges.

9. Superglue!
I love that idea! My car is 10 years old and I intend to be the one to retire it so I am going to give this one a lot of thought.

Thanks!

11. Lol.
I can just see that kid trying to peel the sticker off and saying to himself, "Damnit, it came off so easily last time. What the fuck happened?!?!"

 Hell, put up the camera not to press charges, but just to laugh your ass off!

10. The funny thing is
both times the Bush Lied sticker was only half vandalized with the Lied portion removed and the Bush portion left behind. Needless to say, I refused to drive it until I removed the other part.

If nothing else, I'm going to get a number of replacements so this game becomes futile.

Republicans for Valdimort! Cute.

12. Normally I have never been one to place stickers on my car...
as I like to maintain a certain level of anonymity. However, I placed one which reads "Liberal Veteran" on my car last week. I have been flipped off several times while in traffic. I am thinking of pulling my old Marine Corps uniform out of the closet, complete with my decorations, and hang it in the back window so that the chickenhawks can see it. Maybe this will shut them up.

On a similar note: As a public school teacher I do not force my students to recite the Pledge of Allegiance every morning. I tell them that if they choose to do so, then do it. If not, then sit quietly and be respectful of those who do. One little "ditto-head" had the audacity to call me "unpatriotic". At that time I explained to the class that if I MADE them recite the Pledge, then it would loose all its meaning; afterall this is supposed to be a free country, right? The following day, I took my old uniform to school and hung it up near the flag. I asked this young lad if he would like to call me "unpatriotic" again. His reaction: he slumped in his seat and said nothing. Later on in the day I was told by some of my other students that he was saying behind my back that I had probably bought, or even stolen, the uniform. So, in my pacifistic manner, I took my old Parris Island platoon photo to class and had the students play "find your teacher in this photo". I might add, they had a blast playing this game. It made me feel like "Waldo".

Oh, how I love to use peaceful means to "combat" the right-wing chickenhawks!

14. Do the army recruiters have this kid's number?
At the very least, I think you should give him an enlistment form. A brave young patriot like that, doubtless he'll be delighted to go and serve his president.

15. Here is another experience I had with him...
After the chimpster "won" the last election, he was wearing a home-made t-shirt which read (on the front): "Mission Accomplished" and (on the rear) "Four more years of freedom". :puke:

I asked him if he would like to serve; and, if the draft were re-instated, would he go. His response: "I have asthma." As a vet, I know that this is a condition which causes one to flunk the physical. This was a common dodge during the Vietnam years which was used by the privileged to flunk the physical. Although, I am not a Vietnam vet, but served shortly therafter(13 years and 8 months total). Many of my friends are Vietnam vets and the stories they can tell about the rich kids at the induction station.... :banghead:

I teach in a rather wealthy school district and so many of these privileged children support the war and Bush (I'm in SC, go figure), but that is where everything ends. One chickenhawk stated: "I'm not messing up my life, I'm going to college".

My doctor has provided me with a prescription for valium hoping that it can help me deal with the stresses I endure.
