4. I don't go for the mega energy drinks |
|
Too many calories. After I work out I like a POWERade Option or a Propel. Both have 10 calories per serving and are tastier than just drinking water.

6. I consider myself an energy drink connoisseur.. |
|
and without a doubt, Amp from Mountain Dew is my very favorite. I've gotten quite a few of my classmates hooked on it.
Red Bull tastes okay, but the aftertaste is not-so-nice. And then there's that Monster crap, which is just plain god-awful, tasting like it has some form of herbicide mixed-in with it..

15. That's funny. Amp will make me spew it across the room |
|
Not even on purpose. Nasty stuff. But I love Red Bull, and don't think of it as having an aftertaste.

I prefer it's taste but I usually buy either Rockstar or Sobe's No Fear because they are the same price as Amp but twice the size. I got hooked on energy drinks when I went on third shift for about a year and had to stay awake some how.

8. Question: Do these all have sugar in them? |
|
I've never tried them and would like to if they won't make my blood glucose do the roller coaster thang.

10. Several have low-carb sugar free versions |
|
I know Red Bull and Monster have the diet versions. They do have glucose in them though. The first time I drank Monster low-carb (20 calories in a 16 OZ. can) I was buzzing big time! Now I am addicted to it because I am more of a soft drink person than coffee person but I like the pick up it provides. The main bad thing they have in them is caffeine but unlike coffee they also have Ginseng, Taurine, Carnitine and B-Vitamins plus 100% daily value of Vitamin C, Riboflavin and Niacin. .
