Well, off to the green market to pick up whatever is current today |
|
I hope they have lots of meat, and also leeks!! I'm dying for some leek and potato soup.

2. I've never been to one that doesn't have some meat at it |
|
usually buffalo, lamb, bison, elk, duck, etc. - some of the stuff that one can't normally get in grocery stores, and generally all organic.

4. Yum yum! I picked up some yellow sweet tomatoes, some teeny yellow |
|
squash, some very young zucchinis, leeks (yay!), fingerling potatoes, organic half & half, and a host of other things, including some lamb meat sticks. And perhaps most exciting of all: some Spanish Roja garlic, locally grown, by a guy who grows the most amazing garlics I have ever, ever, ever put in my mouth (German garlic, the spanish kind, and two others that I can't remember).
:woohoo:
I miss the greeen market at Union Square, though - WAY better selection of odd and wonderful things.
