3. Fashion
It comes and goes around shaving. However, if you need to wear a gas mask someday, you might want to reconsider your position.

51. Gas masks are the precise reason I've had to shave sometimes...
As an ex professional firefighter I can make a tight seal and suck the mask flat with a full beard or none.

I think it's entirely up to the woman how she wants to present her body....

Hair is natural, so let it grow,,,,,

(for all you DU women out there who don't shave your legs, please don't flame me! that is just my opinion!), so, at least in the summer, I try to shave every couple of days. It sucks though.

I can't grow a full beard for the life of me. And I just tried. Somehow the sideburn part never comes in. And I always wanted muttonchops, damn it!

So, this morning I shaved. It was a living hell. And so disappointing.

Even if I go two days without shaving, it drives me nuts. I had a full beard and mustache once because I was, how shall I say... indisposed. I cut it all off as soon as I got home and that was the last time I had hair on my face. Well, I have had burns once and a while.

64. A story about when men HAD to have a beard
The town I grew up in on 4th of July. They had a "jail" for all men who came to the celebration without a beard and mustache. Fake or real, it didn't matter. I don't know exactly why, but it had something to do with the towns' founders.

Personally, I like a beard and mustache. It give a man character.
